How much does a babies vision develop within the first six months? What happens and what are different stages in the baby? USMarineGrl replied: "http://www.aoa.org/x9420.xml this should give you everything you need"
female62 replied: "It should completely within the first week. Maybe you should have some tests done. Scary I know, but better knowing now than maybe waiting and making things worse." Baby vision problems? How can I determine if a 2 month old child has vision problems? Ashley r replied: "go to the doctor, google it, see the eye doctor"
Jen J replied: "there isnt really a way unless you go to the Dr. Now if you are wondering why your baby is going cross eyed, Its normal for a few months, But if you are really concerned go see babies Dr"
garciajennifer@att.net replied: "At two months old, it's not uncommon for it to seem like your baby has vision problems. Just give him a little time, because he's still learning to focus maybe. Other than that, take him to his pediatrician. They will know more about your baby and be able to answer any questions you have."
ninafossick replied: "Right now your babies eyes will do all kind of weird movements. It takes a few months for their eye muscles to become strong enough to work the eye. Once your baby begins to focus with eye contact to you or a specific item then try a test of moving the object from side to side, up and down to see if the baby follows with her eyes.
Of course, any ?'s should be answered by the doctor.
I found out that my daughter had "Dewain's Syndrome" when she was 6 months old. This means that her left eye has no outside muscle strength(the muscles were twisted as tight as a rubber band). If she looked to the left with this eye the muscles would not move the eye to the left side. She wasn't able to have the muscles clipped until she was 4 yrs. old. The doctor told me the eye is fully developed by the age of 4 yrs. She' 23 now, and has 20/40 vision. Her eye doesn't move completely to the far left, but it will move some to the left. Otherwise, you'd never know anything was wrong.
But, for now...I wouldn't be to concerned...just watch her grow!!!" Why am I seeing in baby vision? Why can't I get babies off my mind? I'm in my early 20's, in college, so not mature or ready to be a parent, single, etc...
Why am I having this weird psychological "baby mania" lately. I see babies everywhere, I all of a sudden love babies and little kids (I never did before), and I can't help feeling like I want a family.
I'm not in a relationship and obviously I'm not in the place to have a family right now, but why now? What is going on? Is this natural? Is my body trying to tell me something, like I better hurry up or something?
Why am I in love with babies and the idea of having a baby all of a sudden?
Why do I have the urge to just be a mom after college and no longer have the huge career ambitions I had always expected? Why do I want to be throwing halloween parties for my preschooler and take kids to soccer and ballet and be domestic all of a sudden?
What's going on? I've never expected I would be like this. It's not bad - it's just so not something I saw for myself?
Ahh, help me! I'm in a strange place right now? And I can't stop seeing babies everywhere I go!
I have a pretty good idea (not the full idea obviously) of what a handful they can be - which is why I know I'm not quite ready. I've cared for children ages newborn to a physically and mentally challenged 15 year old. I never liked babysitting as a teen - it was just the profession of my age as it is with a lot of girls. ReRe replied: "Try visiting a daycare or preschool for a day or two. Being around kids may show you how much of a handful they can be. Or maybe you just need to play with them if you enjoy them that much. It doesnt mean you need one of your own."
chefb2466 replied: "Wow! I've never heard such thing. Maybe you don't have to be in relationship just to be a parent. Adopt. But wait you said you were in college so just try to wait and see if anyone comes into ur life between your college years and once that's over try to start a family if your still having these thoughts!"
Crunk Ain't dead yet replied: "Its that time of the month maybe?"
Lanie replied: "Nothing wrong. I guess there is a time in our lives where we are ready for certain things. If you have gone to college and got your degree or soon will have it then relax. If you find someone and end up in a situation where you are ready for a family then its no big deal. You can have your kids then, when they are of school age you, can go into your profession that you went to college for. It isn't unusual for you in your twenties to be thinking about what is a normal progression. Good luck to you with your school and also in your future."
Amber replied: "Maybe you are just getting the maternal instict now. I know mine kicked in before I was ready to have any, but not quite that much! Luckily I had nieces and nephews to watch and that helped control it, a lot :) Babies are wonderful when you are ready and have the time and patience" |
